Hello Healthy Nails Part 2
Hi friends! Back in 2021 I wrote one of our most popular blogs to date: “Hello Healthy Nails!” and it was all about the Dazzle Dry system for a healthy nail polish alternative that is chip resistant for 7+ days, vegan, nontoxic, and the best part: it dries in 5 minutes. If you missed it, find it in our earlier blogs…it’s worth a read! Well, I wanted to write a post on our other popular healthy, natural nail product: The Luminary Nail Systems.
I personally have never enjoyed getting my nails done in the past because I have always felt I wasn’t getting my money’s worth out of the manicure I paid for. For those of you who have known me since the humble beginnings of AO-The Space, you’ll remember me with bare nails. I would let them get slightly long before cutting them down and starting over or worse, one would break and my OCD would kick in and I’d have to cut them all down to be the same length as the broken nail. Who else is this way?! Once I decided to incorporate nail services into our new location, I went down the rabbit hole and jumped head-first into learning all about healthy nail products that are actually good for your nails. This is where I found Luminary Nail Systems and Dazzle Dry. Once we opened our new location I began receiving nail services using Dazzle Dry. And I will admit, I love the product and I love the wear and tear it took from me. However, manicures just weren’t lasting more than a week and a half. This is when my love for Luminary truly blossomed! I finally found a product that allows my nails to thrive and grow strong, look beautiful in the process, and last long enough for me to go 4-6 weeks between nail appointments.
My favorite thing about Luminary is that a clear or nude color is applied, and this allows a nice foundation for use of our highly pigmented gel colors by Madam Glam to be applied on top of the Luminary. When it’s time for a fill the top color is filed off, exposing the Luminary layer which protects the natural nail from any damage. Your nail tech will prep the cuticle and fill in the grown-out portion of your nails with a fresh layer of Luminary. Once this levels out and cures, you are ready to begin applying color and/or nail art. The reason I love using a clear or nude Luminary color is it can be just as beautiful standalone without any other color, and this is a perfect option if you want to take a break from color and want to sport a nude-nail look. This is still one of my favorite looks.
Luminary Nail Systems have transformed my nails into long, chip-free works of art that I’m proud to show off! I’ve even ventured outside of my usual square shaped nails and am currently trying out almond shaped nails. I’m not sold yet, but then again I’ve had squared off nails my entire life. So I think I’ll need more time to slide into team almond shape, haha! What do you think?
